About The Friends of Barr Lake

Friends of Barr Lake is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that enhances education, recreation, and conservation at the park by providing funds from grants, donations and fundraising events.

Hooray! It’s Grand Opening Day!

 

The Grand Opening of the new fishing pier this afternoon (June 15th) was a huge success.  See all of the photos here!

 

 

Join us at Barr Lake State Park on Saturday, June 29th for Brighton’s Health & Fitness Expo! The Brighton Chamber of Commerce and Discover Brighton would like to present a new event bringing awareness to health and fitness resources in our community. ASL English and Spanish Interpreters will be available for the guided bird walk and archery lessons, but please be sure to RSVP to dnr_barrlake.naturecenter@state.co.us, or call 303-659-6005 to let us know you’ll be coming and will be needing the interpreter. 

Friends of Barr Lake – a support group for Barr Lake State Park will be funding bus transportation to the expo! The school bus will pick up at City Hall off 4th street at 10am and will be at park till 12:30 pm with arrival back by 1pm. Brighton
