Partners through education, recreation, and conservation
We had a room full of pumpkin painters. Ranger Michelle got things going with an explanation of how to get paints and get started. There were lots of creative pumpkins by the time the kids were done!
Just before it was time for the Halloween Trail, a cold wind started to blow as the snow storm was approaching. But, the Friends of Barr Lake, other volunteers, and the park staff were resourceful and brought the festivities inside the Nature Center so no one would be disappointed. Everyone still had a great time, and the costumes were so cute! All visitors were greeted by our favorite Red-tailed Hawk!
