As an adult, Barr Lake has remained an important part of my family’s life. I’ve brought my own children to enjoy seasonal events like Halloween and Christmas celebrations and have volunteered as a chaperone for school field trips. Today, my children continue to enjoy the park independently through paddle boarding and hiking.

I deeply value how connected Barr Lake is to the surrounding community and recognize how fortunate we are to have a state park so close to home. My son is a Boy Scout and has helped fellow scouts complete several Eagle Scout projects at Barr Lake, further strengthening our family’s connection to the park.

I am truly honored to serve as a board member and grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community and the lake that has meant so much to me throughout my life.
