Join Our Team: We’re Looking for a Treasurer!
Friends of Barr Lake is searching for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our newly revamped Board of Directors as a volunteer Treasurer. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute your financial expertise to help preserve the natural beauty of Barr Lake State Park and support our conservation efforts. 
Treasurer 🌿 Manage and oversee the organization’s finances, including budgeting, reporting, and maintaining financial health. Understanding of non-profit taxes and/or accounting.
🌿 Understanding of financial software (ex. QuickBooks).
🌿 Collaborate with board members and park staff to ensure fiscal transparency
🌿 Help secure and manage donations and funding to support our programs and initiatives
🌿 Attend board meetings (monthly) and quarterly board meetings with Barr Lake State Park, Colorado State Parks management
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Self-starter personality able to “move the needle” help progress the Friends of Barr Lake mission.
- Able to do duties with little to no supervision. Proactive and collaborative personality.
- Basic proficiency with computers, including familiarity with operating systems (Windows / Apple) and common software.
- Experience with email platforms (such as Gmail, Outlook, etc.) for communication and scheduling.
- General knowledge of office productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
- Ability to navigate basic internet functions, research, and access online resources.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn new technology as needed.
📍 Location: Barr Lake State Park, Brighton, CO (remote WFH)
🕑 Hours: Part-time, flexible (volunteer board position)
