Partners through education, recreation, and conservation

I discovered Barr Lake shortly after moving to Brighton from Denver in the summer of 2020. After living in Capitol Hill, I was thrilled to be so close to a state park rich with wildlife and open space. I quickly fell in love with the lake’s beauty and have spent more time there with each passing year.
In 2024, I became a raptor monitor for Colorado Parks & Wildlife, which deepened my desire to protect and conserve Barr Lake while encouraging others to discover and care for it as well. The more time I spend in nature, the more meaningful it becomes to me, and I’m honored to support Friends of Barr Lake’s mission to conserve, educate, and encourage recreation at the lake.
As Marketing Coordinator, I help promote upcoming events and raise awareness about Barr Lake and Friends of Barr Lake. My work focuses on increasing community engagement, growing organizational support, and driving donations that fund education, conservation, and recreation programs.
I’m also the co-owner of a boutique branding and web design studio, bringing nearly a decade of experience in branding, marketing, and nonprofit work. I enjoy helping organizations tell their stories clearly and authentically in ways that resonate with their communities.
You’ll often find me with binoculars in hand, scanning for birds—especially raptors. When I’m not at the lake, I’m usually working from my home office, working out at the Brighton Rec Center, or treasure hunting at ARC Thrift. I’m a proud bird nerd and even have a Red-Tailed Hawk tattoo as a tribute to my love of raptors.
