Friends of Barr Lake is having a 5K run at Barr Lake State Park to help raise funds for future projects to support the park. Come out and run with the raptors on the trail through the nature preserve.
Dogs are NOT allowed, as the race goes through the nature preserve. Registration fees are $40 until September 11th. The fee will go up to $45 on the day of the event. Children 15 and under and senior 60 and older receive an $5 discount from each of the fees. Race day registration and packet pick up begin at 8:00 a.m. September 12th.

Course Description: Start at the Nature Center bridge and head south through the nature preserve. Run past the gazebo boardwalk and turn around just past the 1.5 mile marker, where there will be a water station set up. This is a relatively flat trail, but it is a natural trail so be on the lookout for obstacles like tree branches or antlers in the road.
COVID-19 and Social Distancing***
*All runners must wear a mask before and after the race. As runners spread out, we will not require masks during the race.
*Only registered runners will be allowed in the goody bag packet pickup area
*We will not take temperatures, if you are not feeling well, please do not attend.
*There will be no awards ceremony, however, we will post names and bib numbers on dry erase board. Winners will individually come up to collect awards.
*We will be putting tape on ground for 6 feet apart social distancing
*No certified times this year due to social distancing at start and end
