Here are a few photos from Barr Lake over this past couple of weeks, including beautiful sunsets. If you are not fortunate enough to live in this part of Colorado, you need to plan a visit and add Barr Lake to your “bucket list.” It’s a wonderland of natural beauty–day and night.
More than 370 species of birds call Barr Lake “home” either year-round or during migration (download the Barr Lake State Park Bird Checklist). And there is a mating pair of Bald Eagles, along with large numbers of Eagles that stop by in the Winter–certainly worth a visit in the Winter months–try December, around the holidays!
